Infrastructure
that doesn’t
fall over.
I help startups build, clean up, and stabilize the infrastructure their business depends on. I come in, figure out what matters, do the work, and leave your team in a better position than I found it.
Practical infrastructure work.
Six areas of work, one pair of hands. I don’t ship decks. I ship the thing that fixes the problem.
Cloud environments
Stand up or clean up AWS, GCP, or on-prem. VPC layout, IAM, accounts, landing zones.
Automation & CI/CD
Pipelines that don't lie. Infra-as-code that survives a rename. Pre-merge tests that catch what matters.
Systems design
Architecture reviews for teams about to scale. Capacity, data paths, blast radius, failure modes.
Operational cleanup
Untangle what grew fast. Consolidate accounts, retire dead infra, get alerts back to signal.
Documentation & runbooks
The pages your team actually opens at 3 a.m. Incident procedures, onboarding, architecture.
Fractional staff engineer
A staff IC for a season: through a migration, reliability crisis, or just a rough quarter. Not a full-time hire.
Four steps. No surprises.
The process is the same whether the engagement is two weeks or two quarters.
Figure out what matters
A week of listening, reading code, looking at dashboards, talking to the team. No deliverable here. Just the right question.
Agree on the shape
A short written plan: what gets fixed, in what order, and what “done” looks like. You sign off before I spend money.
Do the work
Heads-down execution. Weekly check-ins, commits you can read, pull requests that explain themselves.
Leave it better
Runbooks, onboarding docs, and a handoff call. Your team owns it after I leave. That’s the point.
Three ways to work together.
Pick the smallest one that solves the problem. Not sure which fits? Just ask.

- Runbook + handoff at close
